"After Griffin was taken into custody a subsequent investigation revealed he was also in possession of a large quantity of cocaine and several small bags of marijuana," said Sgt. Benny Scarbrough, public information officer with TPD.

Griffin was placed in the Pike County Jail on the two grand jury indictment arrests and also for possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana first degree. His bond has been set at $10,000 in each of the four cases for a total of $40,000, Scarbrough said.

Members of the 12th Judicial Circuit Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force also assisted TPD in this investigation.

"The Troy Police Dept. is committed to working with the drug task force and local law enforcement agencies in investigating and arresting those individuals involved in the illegal use and sale of controlled substances in Troy and Pike County," Everage said.
