Tonight three of our hometown high school football teams enter the first round of playoffs.
Goshen High school and Pike County High School will be playing in Pike County and Charles Henderson High School will be on the road to McAdory.
These teams and their coaches have worked extremely hard this year to get to where they are now. There have been a lot of long practices, hot games and close calls as they traveled the road to the playoffs.
We are very proud of these teams, and hope they do well tonight and advance to the next round of the playoffs next week. While they are playing tonight we hope the teams, coaches, and the fans that come to watch them, continue to show the good sportsmanship they have shown all season long.
We urge fans of these teams to go out and support them. If you haven’t been to a high school football game this year, now is a good time to start. The weather is perfect for it, and these teams deserve all of Pike County’s support.
Goshen will face Excel tonight at Eagle Stadium in Goshen; PCHS will take on Fulton-dale at Bulldog Stadium; and CHHS will travel to McAdory. All games will begin at 7 p.m.
We encourage everyone to go out and support the Trojans, Eagles and Bulldogs tonight. And to each team we wish you the best of luck.
