Jacksonville, Fla. – Both the Men and Women’s teams had strong finishes this weekend at Jacksonville University’s Cross Country Invitational. The Men’s team finished second in their race and the Women finished fifth in theirs.

The men’s team finished second behind Auburn University. Freshman Chris Batista finished 6th overall with a time of 27:53.Sophomore Ben Contratto finished 21st overall with a time of 28:48. Other Notables for the men include Jason Crosson who finished 24th with a time 29:04.

Auburn also won the women’s race with Jacksonville University finishing second. Florida State and Central Florida finished third and fourth respectively with Troy State rounding out the top five. The top finisher for the women was Freshman Belinda Bargmann who finished 10th with a time of 19:54. Coming in second for the Lady Trojans was Lindsey Minnihan who finished 14th with a time of 20:14.
