Teen killed in one-vehicle wreck Monday

A 14-year-old boy was killed when the pickup truck he was driving on a dirt road, overturned, pinning him underneath.
Jason Blake Carnley was killed Monday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident on Brown’s Mill Creek Road, off U.S. 29 south of Troy.
Carnley was driving the truck on the dirt road when the vehicle ran off the road and overturned, partially ejecting the teen. The accident was reported at 2:15 p.m. and Carnley was pronounced dead on impact.
According to the Alabama State Troopers, Carnley was not wearing a seatbelt, but one was available to him.
The Pike County High School ninth grader was the son of Jimmy and Marie Carnley of Troy.
Cause of the accident is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers’ Dothan post.
