William W. Hall, 57, of Troy died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001 at his home.

Services were at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 6 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Chuck Francisco officiating. Burial was at Hills Chapel Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Mr. Hall was retired from the Air Force and a graduate of Troy State University, where he earned a degree in accounting and business. He worked for the state of Alabama as chief of Compensation Services in the Department of Mental Health and retired in August 2000 after 27 years of service.

Survivors include wife, Rebecca Deese Hall of China Grove; sons, Walt Hall and Wade Hall, both of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, Renee Hall of China Grove; three granddaughters, Maegan Hall, Raquel Hall and Danielle Hall, all of Atlanta; mother, Ethel Lett; father, Willie Hall; brothers, Jessie Hall, Tommy Hall and Randy Hall, all of Eclectic; sisters, Opal Hall Collier and Ann Hall Stewart, both of Eclectic.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hills Chapel Cemetery Fund.

Pallbearers were Bubba Dees, Wiley Dees, Derick Deese, Jimmy Deese, Paul Durden, William Durden, Michael Smith and William Stephens.
