Mr. Mahend Prasad, 58, of Brundidge died Friday, Sept. 28, 2001 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5 at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Sandifer officiating, Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include wife, Prem Prasad of Brundidge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and Mike McNally of Brundidge and Roshni and Patrick Singh of Key West, Fla.; two sons, Rakesh Prasad of Brundidge and Sachida Sharma of Fiji Islands; one brother, Hirde Ram Maharaj; three sisters, Kamla, Vimia and Kushma; seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4 at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Avie Dillard Majors

Avie Dillard Majors, 97, formerly of Black and Geneva, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 in Troy.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5 at Black United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Pond Town Cemetery in Black with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include daughter, Mary Ogburn of Geneva; son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Pat Dillard of Troy; daughter-in-law, Helen Dillard of Geneva; son-in-law, Don Hayes of Enterprise; step-children, Evelyn (Bob) Rangley of Danville, Va., Edward (Ann) Majors of Gainsville, Fla.; sisters, Aslene Hughes of Hartford and Bonnie Forrest of Dothan; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Melton Dillard in 1946 and Ernest Majors in 1989; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ruby and Terry Vanlandingham and Betty Hayes; and son, R.V. Dillard.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Troy.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5 at Black United Methodist Church.
