Mrs. Lillian Glover Green, 81, of Troy, formerly of Brundidge, died at her residence, 306 1st Avenue, Troy, Monday night, Sept. 17, 2001.

Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 20 at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with the Rev. Tim McQuitty officiating, Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. She will lie in state from 10:30 until 11 a.m. prior to the service. We will go in procession to the cemetery.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Maurice and Jerry Tillery of Troy; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Ellis Green and Pam Green of Spartanburg, S.C.; two granddaughters, Hope Tillery of Troy and Kim Green of Pascagoula, Miss.; one grandson, Wesley Green of Pascagoula; one great-granddaughter, Nicole Mercer of Pascagoula; two brothers, Dean Glover and Layton Glover of Clayton; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Thompson of Theodore, Allene Waters of Semmes and Emma Martin of Milton, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Griel Owens

Griel Owens, 84, of Capitol Hill Nursing Home in Montgomery died Monday, Sept. 17, 2001 at Jackson Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Luverne Church of Christ with Minister Byron Benson officiating. Burial will be at Emmaus Cemetery in Luverne with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte (Gene) Thompson of Montgomery, Carolyn (Danny) Hart of Mississippi; two sons, Daniel G. Owens of Luverne, Jesse (Sharon) Owens of Montgomery; sisters, Addie Bell Myers of Mississippi, Alma Ruth Sherees and Alna Ruth "Coot" Owens, both of Rose Hill; brothers, Ansley Owens of Rose Hill and James Owens of Andalusia; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Carter Owens.

There will be a 30-minute lie-in-state prior to the service.

Helen Dowlin See

Helen Dowlin See, 77, of Troy, formerly of Montgomery, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2001 at Pike Manor Health Care Center in Troy.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 20 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Dr. Earl M. Hall and the Rev. Steve Rascoe officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include husband, Col. Harold See of Troy; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Terry Rogers of Troy; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. and Carol See of Friendswood, Texas; two step sons, Ronald F. See and Roger W. See of California; four grandchildren, Derek and Chase Rogers of Troy, Erin and Joshua See of Friendswood; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Harry DuRant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sharlpess and Roweena Dowlin and a brother, Eugene Dowlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Park Memorial Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1291, Troy, AL 36081.

Honorary pallbearers will be staff of Pike Manor Health Care Center.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Catherine Griffin

Catherine Griffin, 59, of Troy died Monday, Sept. 17, 2001 at her home.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. William Spann officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will gather at Collinsville Funeral Home in Collinsville, Ala. to depart for an 11 a.m. graveside service at New Testament Holiness Cemetery in Collinsville on Friday Sept. 21.

Survivors include her husband, G.P. Griffin of Troy; a son, Jeff Griffin of Flowery Branch, Ga.; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Catherine Griffin; her mother, Annie Lou Stubbs of Troy; a sister, Elizabeth Russell of Troy; brothers, Donald Jinright of Phenix City, Wayne Stubbs of Troy, Jeff Stubbs of Petrey, Billy Stubbs of Goshen and Larry Stubbs of Lakeland, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Hamilton Stubbs; sisters, Jean Jinright and Pam Stubbs; brothers, Junior Jinright, James Jinright and Glen Stubbs.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Callahan, Richard Delk, Delane Griffin, Allen Russell, Hamilton Stubbs and Bud Watkins.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Menefee Crenshaw

Menefee Crenshaw, 88, of Jack died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001 at Elba Nursing Home in Elba.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in the Chestnut Grove Community with the Rev. Donnie Marler officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Mr. Crenshaw is survived by his wife, Mrs. Voncille Crenshaw of Jack, several nieces, nephews and other close friends.

Pallbearers will be Lavell Johnson, Jimmy Ray Cotton, Chad Cotton, Ronnie Cotton, Mike Crenshaw and Kenny Crenshaw.

Visitation will be held from 1-1:45 p.m. today at Dorcus Baptist Church.
