Lady Bulldogs avenge earlier losses to CHHS

Pike County dropped the first two matches to Charles Henderson High in girl’s volleyball at Troy last week, but returned the favor on Monday in Brundidge.

"I was very proud of the hustle and the energy my players showed" stated PCHS head coach Vanessa Johnson.

"When we played Charles Henderson on September 11th we didn’t have two of our starters (Dee Dee Rodgers and Marla Boykin).

They came out and made up for that today and they played with a lot of heart.

The Lady Bulldogs leading server Wennica Foster scored ten aces against the CHHS team.

"I am very proud of the job Wennica Foster did for us today," said Johnson.

"She has a powerful serve."

Johnson also was pleased with the play of her captain and the players who came off of the bench.

"Shautorria Munningham is our team captain and she keeps everyone pumped up during the game," she said.

The 2001 Lady Bulldog Volleyball Players are: Wennica Foster, Dee Dee Rodgers, Marla Boykin, Tamela Foster, Shautorria Munningham, Jamarra Hughes, all juniors, and

seniors Joanna Jackson, Yashana Adams and Tawonda Adams

Next match for the Pike County Lady Bulldogs is Thursday at Eufaula
