Tyrese Foster Hodge, 3 months, of Columbus, Ga., died Sept. 5, 2001, at Columbus Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at 11 a.m.from Rock Elvy Cemetery with the Revs. Raymond Franklin and Julius Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Elvy

Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Shady Grove. Tyrese was Born July 7, 2001 to Lashunda Foster and Andrew Hodge.

Survivors include: mother, Lashunda Foster; father, Andrew Hodge, both of Columbus, Ga.; two brothers, Tavain Jamaal Hill and Jerrick DeShaun Hill, both of Columbus, Ga.; maternal grandmother, Sharon Foster of Phenix City; maternal great-grandmother, Thelma Foster of Savannah, Ga.; great-great-grandmother and grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Foster; maternal great-great-grandmother and great-great-grandfather Mr. and Mrs. John A. Foster of Troy; a special cousin Tangela Givens of Columbus, Ga.; aunts, Annie Givens, Maxine Howard, Essie Mitchell, Bridgett Paul and Gwen Andrews.

Mittie B. Andrews

Mittie B. Andrews, 78, of Brundidge died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001.

Services were at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8 at Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Nathaniel Larkin officiating. Burial was at Community Cemetery in Brundidge with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Mrs. Andrews was born May 30, 1923 in Pike County to Mr. and Mrs. Trammell Griffin. She attended Pike County public schools and retired as a commercial cook. She was a member of Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she served in the Matrons Department and Ladies Aid Missionary Society.

Survivors include five daughters, Mittie Lee Andrews of Brundidge, Mary (Jimmy) Dixon of Detroit, Mich., Margaret (Sherman) Shepard of Buffalo, N.Y., Linda (Leon) Williams of Brundidge, Melonese Andrews of Brundidge; 19 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; a special god child, Bobbie Russell.

Pallbearers were: Ricki Johnson, Alvin Johnson, Charles Johnson, Michael Johnson and Emoris Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were: Jimmie Dixon Jr., Kelvin Andrews, Tracy Williams, Michael Williams and Willie Frank Johnson Jr. Granddaughters and friends served as floralbearers.

Fannie Lou Grissette

Fannie Lou Grissette, 87, of Troy died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, at Pike Manor Health Care Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Burial will be at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include granddaughters, Connie Morrow, Doris Jordan, Linda Register, Karen McLendon, all of Troy, Ann Jordan of Banks, Beverly Austin of Brundidge and Tammy Tarte of Atlanta; grandsons, Mack Rushing of Molton and Thomas Murphy of Troy; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Croskry of Dothan; 18 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Grissette; children, Betty Rushing, Charles Grissette, Jean Murphy, William Henry Grissette; sisters, Bertha Hooten, Catherine Dean, Johnie P. Courson; brothers, Henry Croskry and Oliver Croskry.

Memorial contributions may be made to Springhill Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 7, at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
