Billy J. Madaris, 53, of Troy died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001 at Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy.

Services were at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 27 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. Bruce Hose and Steve Rascoe officiating. Burial was at Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Highway 123 between Ariton

and Ozark, with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include his mother, Annie Mirl Pritchett of Union Springs; two sons, Joseph Anthony Madaris, C.B., of Los Angeles, Calif., William Clayton Madaris, Marines, Parris Island, S.C.; step sister, Tawana Ryan of Union Springs; step mother, Queen Scarbrough Pugh; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Sue Madaris of LaVergne, Tenn., Terry and Kathy Madaris of Montgomery, Michael Madaris of Dothan; special aunt and uncle, Mary and Johnny Mitchell of Troy; special niece, Lorita Mitchell; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or medical research.

Pallbearers were Johnny Mitchell, Cortland Peed, Johnny Edwards, Tray Ryan, James Mitchell, Robert Pritchett, Terry Madaris and Benny Herring.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 26.

King Williamson

King Williamson, 89, of Destin, Fla. died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001 at Delta Health Care.

Services will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. W.O. Sanders and Orrin Barett officiating. Burial will be at Spears Cemetery in Glenwood with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Max Davis of Dothan; grandchildren, Patsy Lynn Davis and Greg Davis, both of Dothan; sister, Dessie Mount of Troy; brother, Shelby Williamson of Glenwood.

Visitation will be 2-3 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
