Annie P. Flowers, 87, a resident of Pike Manor Health Care Center in Troy died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001. Funeral services and survivors will be announced by Bell’s Liptrot/Dawson Funeral Home.

Pinkie Lee Williams

Services for Pinkie Lee Williams, 75, of Troy will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. L.C. McMillian, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Banks with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

She was born Jan. 6, 1926 in Pike County to Exie Chancey (Johnson) and Frank Henderson. She attended Pike County Schools and was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include seven children, Willie Charles (Emma Lou) Williams of Saco, Katherine (Johnny) Means of Montgomery, Henry C. (Brenda) Williams of Troy, Eddie B. (Betty) Williams of Troy, Costella (Tommy) Pouncey of Montgomery, Vera Mae (Lidell) Ousley of the U.S. Army-Red Stone Arsenal, Ellie Mae (Bernard) Turner of Eufaula; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a devoted cousin and friend, Mrs. Lessie Thomas of Troy; one aunt, Mrs. Leola Thomas of Troy; a host of cousins, friends, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be members of Antioch Brotherhood. Friends of the family will serve as floralbearers.

Visitation will begin at noon, Friday at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Street Memorial Cemetery.

Stanley Whittington

Graveside services for Stanley Whittington, 54, of Troy will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001 at Garden Hills Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 10 at Frederick’s Funeral Home in Opelika.

Mr. Whittington, who passed away Aug. 8 in Troy, was born March 5, 1947 in Columbus, Ga. He had served eight years in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Whittington; daughter, Dorothy Whittington of Winder, Ga.; parents, Ralph Whittington and Lucile Whittington of Columbus; brother, Ralph Whittington Jr. of Columbus.

Frederick’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
