Troy’s Dixie Belles’ team continued their romp through the sub-district tournament with a 20-1 win over Greenville on Saturday night.

Brittany Carlisle gave up the one hit and one run in the first and second innings of play on the mound for Troy. Carlisle faced eight batters and struck out four. Allie Park pitched the third and fourth innings, using her change-up to strike out three batters in seven faced. Autumn Welch closed for Troy, recording one strike out.

Troy had 10 hits on the night, but were aided by 13 walks issued by Greenville pitchers. Chelsey Howard scored four runs to lead Troy, followed by Ashton Spann and Park, who each scored three times. Lindsey Garner added two runs, while Janie Boswell, Whitney Flowers, Carlisle, Welch, Malerie Sanders, Ashley Simmons, Whitney Johnson and Samantha Johnson all scored once.

Troy plays in the championship game tonight in Opp at 6 p.m.
