Johnnie Lee Turner, 81, of Troy died Friday, June 29, 2001 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 6 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Bobby Cox Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Elam Cemetery in Springhill with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Turner was born July 6, 1919 in Pike County to Andrew and Carrie Phillips Turner. He attended the public schools of Troy and was active in service and attendance at his church, St. Paul A.M.E.

Survivors include one step-son and his wife, Joseph and Wilma Marina; two step-grandsons, Eric and Timothy Williams of Bittendarf, Iowa; one sister, Saddie Jackson of Detroit, Mich.; one aunt, Ann Ausberry of Cinncinati, Ohio; a special niece, Elnora Brooks of Detroit/Sanford, Fla. and a host of other relatives and friends.

Stewards and trustees of St. Paul A.M.E. will serve as pallbearers. Floralbearers will be members of Y.W.A. and missionaries.

Willie Marie Humphrey

Willie Marie Humphrey, 67, of Troy died Saturday, June 30, 2001 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, July 7 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Orion with the Rev. E.D. Glover officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Humphrey was born Nov. 21, 1933 in Crenshaw County to Willie Shell and Lois A. Tellis. She was a high school graduate and worked in private nursing care. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Orion.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her loving and devoted mother, Mrs. Lois A. Bobo; two step-sisters, Callie and Peggy; two step-brothers, Charles Jr. and Samuel; two step-brothers-in-law; one step-sister-in-law, Patricia, and many other relatives and friends.

Friends of family will serve as pallbearers and floralbearers.

Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m., today at Harrison Funeral Home.
