Three Charles Henderson High School Lady Trojan softball players recently signed scholarships with Enterprise State Junior College.
Christine Haug is a four-year varsity player. She has played second base and outfield.
"This year she started at second base," said Head Coach Steve Haug. "At mid-season her bat caught fire and she hit about .500 for the last month of the season."
Haug was awarded the Joy Graham Award for heart and dedication.
"She is a great leader," Haug said.
Elizabeth Roundtree started at third base this year.
"She has a cannon for an arm," Haug said. "She has the second best batting average on the team. She his over .300 and had one homerun."
Nell Boswell is a left hander with very good speed, Haug said.
"She played right field for the Lady Trojans and possesses a very strong arm," said Haug. "She has been an outstanding base runner when she is on lookout."
Haug said he is proud of Roundtree, Boswell and Haug, and they are all looking forward to playing for the Lady Boll Weevils next year.
"I know they will do very well," he said. ‘I wish all three the best of luck."
