All-Star teams announced

Troy Parks and Recreation announced tournament teams that will be competing in upcoming Sub-District and District Tournaments.

The Dixie Angels Tournament team, consisting of nine and 10-year-old girls, starts Sub-District play June 29 at Andalusia.

Players selected to the team were Kasee Carter, Meaghan Ellis, Keyani Foster, Erica Henderson, LarCourtney Kelly, Jodi Long, Kelsey Minor, Julie Money, Kelli Sanders, Whitney Sanders, Jazmen Seymore and Bobbi Strother.

The Dixie Ponytails Tournament team begins play July 5 in Greenville. The 11 and 12-year-olds selected to the team were Bajaj Bryant, Amy Cole, Rachel Folmar, Courtney Freeman, Emily Gilbert, Eden Harris, Courtney Hester, Brittany Knotts, Whitney Merritt, Andi Messick, Kelli Montgomery, Hannah Spann and Laketia Thomas.

Also beginning July 5, the Dixie Belles Tournament team will play its first game in Opp. Janie Boswell, Brittany Carlisle, Whitney Flowers, Lindsey Garner, Chelsey Howard, Samantha Johnson, Whitney Johnson, Allie Park, Ashley Simmons, Ashton Spann, Amanda Sullivan and Autumn Welch make up the team of 13, 14 and 15-year-olds.

The Dixie Minor American and National Tournament teams, composed of nine and 10-year-old boys, will be competing in Sub-District play July 2-7. The American team travels to Enterprise while the National team heads to Highland Home. Clifton Brady, Bradley Floyd, Dontae Harris, Robert Hawkins, Andrew Johnson, Quavian Lawson, Dario Rouse, Parker Sanders, Justin Senn, Logan Stewart, Zeb Swindall, Tre’valyan Thomas and Trey Walters were selected to the American squad and Alex Adams, David Fleming, Corey Goodson, Wesley Hayes, Ross Hixon, Clay Massey, Anthony McBryde, Jared Rogers, Lloyd Shillabeer, Jake Smith, Will Starling, Wesley Taylor and William Teal were tabbed to the National team.

The 11 and 12-year-old Dixie Youth American and National Tournament teams start Sub-District play July 6-13. The American team travels to Luverne while the National team hosts Sub-Distict action at the Troy Sportsplex. Chase Avant, Daniel Farrar, Rickey Goodwin, Justin Henderson, Ryan Long, Chase Rogers, Blake Sanders, Anthony Sherrer, Dustin Smith, Taylor Sunday, Jonathan Wade, Darion Wilson and Tyler Wise earned spots on the American team and Seth Copeland, Hawkins Drinkard, Joshua Dykes, Daniel Garrett, Tarnorris Hall, Jacob Halse, Tanner Hensley, Chad Jordan, Andrew Law, Gregory Lee, Barry Rodgers, Foster Styron and Casey Weston were selected to the National team.

The Dixie Boys Tournament teams, 13 and 14-year-olds, will be hosting District action July 6-14 at the Troy Sportsplex. The 13-year-old team consists of Chase Bradley, Chris Davis, Mitch Green, Christopher Griggs, Ryan Hayden, Clay Helms, Brent Kohn, Patrick Mcclure, Cooper Nichols, Judson Ricks, Marquazs Toney, Jim Wallace and Christopher Ward. Dwayne Cannon, Martesi Carlisle, Joshua Daniel, Wiley Dees, Andrew Folmar, Stephen Golden, Ben Jones, Jeremy Jones, Quavian Lewis, Brian Matney, Chris Rhodes, Morgan Sanders and Herbert Ward

were chosen to the 14-year-old team.

Four more All-Star teams were selected from the Dixie Youth and Minor Leagues to compete in four games at Franklin Park. The Dixie Youth American All-Stars will play the Dixie Youth National All-Stars in a doubleheader and the Dixie Minor American All-Stars take on the Dixie Minor National All-Stars, also in a doubleheader.

Players chosen to the Youth American squad were Letarrius Bradberry, Jace Colley, Brad Cox, Jevoris Downing, Logan East, Samuel Evans, Cristopher Faulkner, Kevin Garrett, Christopher Hall, Brandon Hill, Brantley Park, Darrell Reynolds, Justin Sanders, James Solis, Quentine Thomas and Mason Tompkins. Devin Allen, Justin Carroll, Josh Crowe, Jeffrey Davis, Jarrell Fielder, Trent Freeman, James Jackson, Adam Johnston, Percy Lee, Chase McGowin, Cole Mitchell, Justin Samples, Adam Senn, Blake Turner, Drew Vaughan and Azabia Whatley earned spots on the National roster.

Cody Barron, Jabori Cole, Gregory Davis, Alex Golden, Zachary Hall, Ethan Harris, Dustin Leverett, Mitch Mcleod, Bernard Paul, Arquavious Scott, Wes Sullivan, Blake Thomas, Jacobian Upshaw, Wyatt Walters and Daris Wilson garnered Minor American All-Star honors and Chase Connell, Matthew Ellis, Kyle Flowers, Daniel Floyd, Alex Hipps, Chandler Hudson, Stephen Pearlstein, Brendon Pope, Ethan Register, Lequintez Reynolds, Daniel Ross, Cody Sanders, Chance Shaver, Brian Smith and Jawara White were selected to the National team.
