Mildred B. Bowden

Mildred B. Bowden of Augusta, Ga. and a native of Troy, died May 31, 2001 at her residence.
Services were held Saturday, June 2 at 4 p.m. at Poteet Funeral Home’s Downtown Chapel in Augusta with the Revs. Bill Berry and Greg Hatfield officiating.
Mrs. Bowden was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife of the late John L. Bowden. She was born in Troy, but lived most of her life in Augusta. She was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church, where she was in the Robert L. Taylor Sunday School Class. She was also a 60-year member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union and a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte B. Deloach; grandsons, Bill Deloach and Mike Spence; great-grandchildren, Haley, Ansley and Chandler Spence.
