Cynthia Wheeler

Cynthia Wheeler, 42, of the Pronto Community died Friday, June 1, 2001 at her residence in Brundidge.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 6 at Jerusalem Campground in Banks with Apostle S.D. James and Pastor Martha Griffin officiating. Burial was at White Memorial Cemetery with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Wheeler was born Sept. 15, 1958 in Pike County to Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Boyd. She attended Zion Chapel High School and was a member of Lily White Church of the Living God.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Wheeler of Brundidge; four children, Latesha, Bobby Levon, Yalonda Wheeler of Brundidge and Latresa Wheeler of Troy; two grandchildren, Shanderiah Wheeler and Erica Rodgers; mother, Mrs. Willie Frank Boyd of Brundidge; nine brothers and sisters-in-law, James S. and Elouise Boyd, Robert and Rita Boyd, Larry and Teresa Copeland, all of Brundidge, Willie S. Boyd of Troy, Charley and Karen Boyd, Royce and Linda Boyd of Dothan, Willie Pete and Angela Copeland of Montgomery, James A. and Emma Boyd of Miami, Fla.; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mattie Powell of Troy, Madie and Frank Likely, Mary L. Boyd of Brundidge and Sarah Nickerson of Ozark; a devoted friend, Mrs. Maureen Adams of Brundidge; a special son, Thurston Lee of Brundidge; cousins; two uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Her brothers served as pallbearers and friends of the family served as floralbearers.
