This year’s award winners were Kevin Stephens and Kelly Miller.

Miller holds a 3.2 grade point average and her sports include volleyball, softball and basketball. Her choice of college is undecided.

Miller helped to lead the Lady Trojans’ basketball team to back-to-back appearances in the Class 5A Southeast State Regionals, held at Troy State University, and was the team’s top shooting guard.

As a shortstop on the CHHS softball team, Miller and the Lady Trojans went to three straight sub-state and one state playoff appearance.

Stephens lettered in both football and baseball and holds an overall average of 90.87. He

lists his colleges of choice as Jefferson Davis Junior College as well Troy State University.

As the starting quarterback on the Trojans’ football team, Stephens broke the school’s all-time career passing yardage record and helped lead CHHS to their first appearance in the state playoffs in seven years and an 8-3 record. He also played shortstop and pitched for the Trojans’ baseball team, which finished the season 19-9.

Both seniors were presented plaques commemorating their achievements and will also be presented with a cash scholarship in August.
