Andi Messick had two hits including a third inning three RBI triple to put the Jammers ahead for good, handing the Blaze an 8-4 defeat.

Hillary Bassett and Sarah Jacobs each had three unassisted put outs for the Jammers. Amy Cole, Blair Wise, Messick and Hannah Lee were leading hitters for the Jammers.

Kristin Carlisle led the blaze with a double in the sixth inning.

Dixie Boys

Mariners 8

Tigers 6

Ryan Hayden pitched a complete game for the Mariners, giving up seven hits and striking out four as the Mariners beat the Tigers, 8-6.

Chase Collins had an RBI double and Chris Rhodes had an RBI double and an RBI triple to lead the Mariners.

D.J. Cannon and Stuart Seans were both 2-for-4 at the plate for the Tigers.

Athletics 7

Tigers 4

Andrew Folmar was winning pitcher for the A’s, who upped their record to 4-1 on the season with a 7-4 win over the Tigers.

Folmar allowed one hit, striking out eight in relief of starting pitcher Chase Bradley.

Folmar and Carter Miles had two hits each and Jake Dubose had one hit for the A’s.

Stewart Sims and Garrett Wesley each had one hit for the Tigers.

Dixie Minor

Mets 12

Rangers 2

Jake Smith was winning pitcher for the Mets, pitching a complete game including 12 strike outs and giving up two hits.

Will Starling and Jonathan Ginyard had two hits each for the Mets. Starling had an inside the park homerun for the Mets.

Josh Taylor and Cody Barron had one hit each for the Rangers. Barron had a triple for the Rangers.

Mariners 8

Cardinals 5

The Mariners improved to 5-0 with an 8-4 win over the Cardinals.

Douglas Hawkins was winning pitcher and Dontae Harris, Clifton Brady and Ryan Hobart led the Mariners at the plate. Harris and Jabari Cole both turned double plays for the Mariners.

Chance Shaver and Nathan Barron led the Cardinals in hitting. Barron had a double and a single, while Shaver had an RBI single. Ben McKeller had two singles and Ethan Register recorded a hit as well.

Diamonbacks 9

Reds 3

The Diamondbacks scored nine runs on five hits to beat the Reds, 9-3, in Dixie Minor action.

William Teal was 2-for-2 for the ‘Backs, while David Fleming, Alex Adams and Michael Rader all also had hits. Teal picked up the win on the mound, facing 15 batters in four 2/3rds innings pitched and striking out 13.

Wesley Hayes led the Reds, going 1-for-2 at the plate.
