Annie R. Hobdy, a resident of Brundidge, died Saturday, April 14, 2001.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21 at County Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Julius Kennedy officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery with Bell’s Liptrot/Dawson Funeral Home directing.

The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mandy Darby Williams

Mandy Darby Williams, 74, of Goshen died Monday, April 16, 2001 at Princeton Baptist Hospital in Birmingham.

Services will be at noon, Saturday, April 21 at Holly Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. J.C. Folks officiating. Burial will be at New Mt. Zion Cemetery in Troy with Harrison Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Ms. Williams was born Feb. 28, 1924 in Pike County to Bibb and Flora McClain. She attended Pike County schools. She was a housekeeper and attended Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Willie James and Mary Darby of Goshen; Aurthur and Evlyven Darby of Troy and Tony Williams and Earl Williams, both of Troy; two daughters, Flora and Aaron Berry of Troy, and Carolyn and Steve Jones of Prattville; her mother, Flora McClain; two sisters, Lela Neal of Jersey City, N.J., and Ella Mae Jackson of Glenwood; one brother, Willie McClain Jr. of Glenwood; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Ruby Williams; one stepson, Johnny Thomas Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; a special friend, Bonnie Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be nephews and friends. Floralbearers will be ushers and friends.

Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. today.
