Trojans’ soccer ups section record to 5-4

The CHHS Trojans Soccer team hit the road for the last time this season, visiting the Mustangs of Stanhope Elmore, and came back with a 6-3 decision over the Mustangs.
Stanhope got on the scoreboard first at the 32nd minute of the first half.
Josh Post continued his torrid scoring pace with a score at the 33rd minute on an assist from Bill Chinberg.
Three minutes later it was Josh Post one more time on a great centering pass from Brian Locasio.
CHHS led 2-1 at the break.
At three minutes of the second half Stanhope knotted the game at 2-2, but Bill Chinberg got the Trojans on the scoreboard again with an assist from Josh Post at the 21st minute.
At th 23rd minute, Spencer Salmon found Chinberg wide open down the middle to put CHHS up 4-2.
The Trojans defense stiffened after that score and the Mustangs sent additional attackers to try and get back into the game.
Josh Post completed the "hat trick" with a score at the 32nd minute to increase the Trojans lead to 5-2.
Bill Chinberg completed his "hat trick" on a great pass in front of the goal from Josh Post.
Preston Hayden turned back 22 shots while the Trojans took 22 total shots, finding the back of the net 6 of those for the 6-3 final.
CHHS improves to 6-9, 5-4 on the season. The last game of this inaugural season for CHHS soccer is Thursday, April 26 at 5:30.
