Trojans’ track team concludes reagular season

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ­ The Troy State men and women’s track teams wrapped up their regular season at the University of Tennessee’s Sea Ray Relays this past weekend.

Senior Melissa Dailey competed in both the 110mHH and the 400mIH, running personal bests in both events. Dailey finished 32 of 50 in the 100mHH with a time of 14.62. In Dailey’s second event, the 400mIH, she ran 1:04.28, placing her third in the TAAC standings.

Senior Michael Green ran a season best in the 5000m (14:14.38), placing him second in the race.

Over the final 200 meters Green moved from fourth to second, just missing the winner who finished in 14:13.73.

In the sprinting events Jesse Morrow and Arrington Watkins competed in the 110mHH.

Morrow placed 31st overall with a time of 14.72.

Watkins placed 33rd with a time of 14.95.

Both Morrow and Watkins joined with Joe Gillaspie and Desmond Newton in competing in the shuttle hurdle relay, placing fifth with a time of 58.38.

In the field events Sherion Taylor jumped 38’6", placing her 3rd in the TAAC standings, just 5 inches off her season best.
