Evelyn Elizabeth McDaniel, 70, of Banks died Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 11 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. J.C. Turner and Mark Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Ramah Cemetery in the Josie Community with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin McDaniel of Banks; daughter and son-in-law, Alice and John Wilson of Troy; grandchildren, Kelli Goodson, Daniel Wilson and Emily Wilson; great-grandchildren, Hayden Goodson, Hunter, Hannah and Hillary Goodson and Victoria Wilson; sisters, Burnese Hays and Mae Rolling, both of Phenix City, Rachel Renfroe of Kennesaw, Ga. and Nancy Bryant of Birmingham; brothers, Robert McLendon of Albertville, Roy McLendon of Phenix City, Reynolds McLendon of Prattville and Ray McLendon of Opelika.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy.

Frances Belcher

Frances Belcher, 86 of Troy died Monday, April 9, 2001 at Pike Manor Health Care Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Dr. Don Hatcher and Rev. Steve Rascoe officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and John Kent of Troy; son and daughter-in-law, John and Glinda Belcher of Troy; five grandchildren and their spouses, Sandy Kent and Larry Forshey of Montgomery, Heather and Johnny Kent, Emily Belcher, Laura Belcher and Amy Belcher, all of Troy; two great-grandchildren, Cole Alexander Forshey and John H. Kent III; sister, Sarah Baker of Enterprise; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Jean Sowell of Headland, Dr. Walter and Inez Sowell of Auburn.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Ann Capell; brother, Jim Sowell and sister, Lou Ann Maddox.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hephzibah Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Kent, Larry Forshey, Kevin Maddox, Rene Sowell, Chad Jordan and Jody Kent. Honorary pallbearers will be dear friend, Mae Spurlock and The Bereans Sunday School Class at Hephzibah Baptist Church.

Ethel L. Davis

Ethel L. Davis of Brundidge died Saturday, April 7, 2001.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 12 at Community Church of God in Christ with Pastor Neal officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Bell’s Liptrot/Dawson Funeral Home directing.

The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Lonnie McGrady

Lonnie McGrady, 90, of Troy died Friday, April 6, 2001 at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 13 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Julius Buskey officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Troy with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. McGrady was born Aug. 28, 1910 in Troy to Will and Amanda Carlton. She attended Pike County schools and retired as custodian of the Troy City Schools. She was a life-long member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Suvivors include daughter and son-in-law, Lonnie Ann and Willie Stewart of Troy; four grandchildren and their spouses, Melvin and Debra Stewart of New York, Reba Ann and Selma Guise of Hampton, Va., Renessia Rena Stewart and James Stewart, both of Troy; three great-grandchildren, Tykesha Nicole and Jeremy Aunez Guice of Hampton, Va. and Deanna Stewart of New York; sister, Flora Carter of Cinncinati, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Mary Lizzie McGrady and Mae Francis McGrady, both of Anderson, Ind. and Lessie Mae Carlton of Troy; two goddaughters, Dorothy Davis of Dayton, Ohio and Janette (Brett) Rowe of Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Humphery Beauty Chapter #266 O.E.S. will serve as floralbearers.

Max L. Daniels

Max L. Daniels, 66, of Brundidge died Sunday, April 8, 2001 at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 11 at Springfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Royce Richards officiating. Burial will be at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include his wife, Erma J. Daniels of Brundidge; two children, Jeannie Diane Warren of Meridian, Miss. and Carol Leamae Manning of Copperas Cove, Texas; foster daughter, Vivian Whitten of Savannah, Ga.; four brothers, George Daniels of California, Omer Gunter of Brundidge, Malcolm Daniels of Glenwood and Donnie Daniels of Springhill; one half brother, Andrew Daniels of Byron, Ga.; two sisters, Shirley Grimes of Kentucky and Gertrude Galloway of Brundidge; two granddaughters and one grandson.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 10 at Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 10 at Zebulon Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Oakes officiating. Burial was at Sandfield Cemetery with Gray Funeral Home of Union Springs directing.

Survivors include three brothers, Robert Brady of Troy, Jack Brady of Georgetown, Ga. and Ernest Brady of Jakin, Ga.; three sisters, Bess Magee of Franklinton, La., Claris Barron of Abbeville and Thelma Wilkenson of Eufaula; 44 nieces and nephews.
