BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Like the men’s team earlier on Tuesday, the Troy State women’s golf team was not able to complete their scheduled tournament due to rain in the Birmingham area. As a result, the Lady Trojans finished in ninth place at the JoAnn Prentice Lady Blazer Invitational with a 330 total.

After a three hour delay, the 14 teams headed out for an 11:10 a.m. shotgun start, but only completed about five holes before heavier rains forced the cancellation of the tournament’s final round.

Allyson Wills finished in a 5-way tie for 10th after her 38-40-78 on the par 72, 5,979-yard Inverness Country Club. Stacey Fill started off yesterday with a front nine 39, but a back nine 44 placed her in a tie for 34th at 83. Tracy Tidwell finished tied for 36th at 40-44-84, Jenny Tidwell tied for 43rd at 43-42-85 and Maria Josefsson tied for 46th with a 43-43-86 total.
