A week after receiving its first ranking in school history, the Troy State women’s tennis team has risen eight spots to 59th in the latest WingspanBank.com Collegiate Tennis Rankings, released Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Head coach Chad Hebert’s squad is 12-4 on the season, including a 2-0 mark in Trans America Athletic Conference play. TSU will return to action Wednesday, April 4, when they host Jacksonville State in a key TAAC match. The Lady Gamecocks come to Troy with a 9-4 record, 2-2 in TAAC action. This will be the first match for the Lady Trojans since Sunday, March 25 (10 days), after having home matches against Alabama-Huntsville and Spring Hill rained out. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m. at the Trojan Oaks Racquet Club. Admission is free.
