Leola T. Weatherly, 91, of Goshen died Friday, March 23, 2001 at her residence.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 28 at Rock Elvy Missionary Baptist Church in Shady Grove with the Rev. Raymond Franklin officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Weatherly was born Oct. 30, 1909 in Shady Grove to the late George William and Anna Woodson Trotter. She was a member of Rock Elvy Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as mission president for many years and was coordinator of the Hospitality Committee. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star civic club and NAACP.

Survivors include her sons, Otis Baxter of New London, Ct., Artis Baxter of Shady Grove and Benjamin Baxter of Montgomery; daughter, Marie

Baxter of Lithonia, Ga.; sister, Amanda Wright of Shady Grove; brother, Will Daniel Trotter of Luverne; a host of step-children; grandchildren, Jannique Baxter of Troy, Aletha Baxter Sankey of Fayetteville, N.C., Artis Baxter Jr. of Shady Grove, Alvin Tyrone Baxter of Montgomery, Andrea Camille Baxter of Fayetteville, Yuvonda LaShawn Baxter of Montgomery and Benjamin Terrell Baxter of Montgomery; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers and floralbearers.

James Clifford Martin Jr., 65, of Goshen died Monday, March 26, 2001.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 29 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Dura Sherrer officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park on Highway 29 with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include his wife, Sondra Martin of Goshen; daughter, Shirley Bradley of Troy; three sons, John Watling of Mississippi, Tony Watling of Goshen and George Martin of Mobile; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
