Firefighters from the Troy Fire Department responded to the fire at 708 Spradley Drive after a call came in around 2:25 p.m.

But, neighbors said the fire trucks did not come soon enough.

Two neighbors standing around as firemen and detectives from the Troy Police Department began an investigation, said four calls were made to 911 before any trucks arrived on the scene.

One of the neighbors talked about hearing "two loud noises" then seeing fire and reporting it.

Being one who called in the report of the residential fire, she said the fire department did not respond quickly enough.

When firefighters arrived, flames were visible from the outside, Rhodes said.

The street and area around the burning home was closed off to traffic as firefighters battled the fire.

The fire chief said, thankfully, nobody was home at the time of the fire.

Cause of the fire is unknown at the time and is still under investigation by the Troy Police Department and the Troy Fire Department.
