Wetumpka beats Charles Henderson 5-4

WETUMPKA-The Wetumpka Indians avenged an earlier season loss to Charles Henderson, edging the Trojans 5-4 in high school baseball action on Friday.

Pitcher Kevin Stephens picked up his third loss of the season, versus four wins, but went 2-for-4 at the plate. Scott Stetson had a double and a triple for two Trojan RBIs and Justin Sims also went 2-for-4 offensively.

Keith Roberts added his third win of the season (3-1) on the mound for the Indians (9-4), who were led by Allan Rose’s two hits and Hamp Davis’s two RBI basehit.

CHHS beat Wetumpka 7-3 on Feb. 23 in Troy.

The Trojans (10-5) return to action on Tuesday, when the travel to Andalusia to play the Bulldogs. Game time is 4 p.m.
