After sweeping their first two doubleheaders, the Troy State softball team will face another test, as they play host to the Eighth Annual Lady Trojan Invitational.

Troy State will be facing off against Middle Tennessee State and Faulkner University. Middle Tennessee won the Ohio Valley Conference and advanced to the NCAA Regionals in Tucson, Arz. last season.

"We’re excited about hosting the tournament," said Troy State head coach Melanie Davis, who picked up her 300th career win at Troy State over the weekend. "After getting off to a good start we hope to continue our winning ways. Both teams will be formidable opponents and it will take a solid performance in all phases of the game for our team to be successful throughout the weekend."

The tournament will begin Friday, as the Lady Trojans will face off against Middle Tennessee. The first pitch is set for 10 a.m. at the Troy Sportsplex.
