Lorenzo Johnson, 77, of Brundidge, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 at Haw Hill Assembly of God with the Revs. Shirlie Ellis and Earl Quiller officiating. Burial will follow at Haw Hill cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include his wife, Zeatrice B. Johnson of Brundidge; a daughter, Linda Ellis of Brundidge; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy B. and Deborah Johnson of Millbrook, Donny and Mary Johnson of Brundidge; a sister, Bertha Mae English of Dothan; five grandchildren, Darrin Johnson of Banks, Angie Ellis of Brundidge, Mandi Batchelor of Brundidge, Kelly Hall of Montgomery and Jason Johnson of Millbrook, and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Boutwell, Johnny Boutwell, Tommy Boutwell, Jason Johnson, Darrin Johnson and Mark Hall.

William Thaddus Smith

William Thaddus Smith, 87, of Brundidge, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001 at Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2001 at Salem Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Foreman and Cliff Allred officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robson and Agnes Smith of Troy and Joe Mack and Shirley Smith of Mobile; nieces, Mary S. Gibson of Troy, and Jo Ann Smith of Mobile; nephews, Gilford Smith of Atlanta, Walter Smith of East Hampton Conn., Johnny Smith of Birmingham, and George M. Smith of Charlotte, N.C.

His wife, Ester Boutwell Smith, preceded Mr. Smith in death.

Pallbearers will be James Pollard, Kyle Roberson, Emmitt Boutwell, Frank Dykes, Buddy Adams, Gilford Smith, Walter Smith, George M. Smith and Joe Boutwell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kyser Herbert, Johnny Smith, Dr. George Kontas, Anglers Sunday School Class of Salem Baptist Church and the Brundidge Lions Club.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 at Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge.
