Evelyn Sikes Stuart, 79, of Troy died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, 2001 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Timothy McQuitty officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Brabham, Jerry Drake, Andy Locklar, Carl Sikes, Drew Stuart, William Stuart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cope Stuart and daughter, Mary Cope Stone.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Carol Stuart; four grandchildren: Eve Hall, Susan Drake, William Stuart and Drew Stuart; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Phenix P. Brooks
Phenix P. Brooks, 82, of Troy died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 at Edge Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, 2001 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Steve Rascoe officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Pallbearers will be Joe Bob Allen, Tom Cain, Billy Carroll, Kill King, Robert Newman and Ralph Richburg. Members of the Bill Rudd Sunday school class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
He was preceded in death by his son, Crandall Lee Wilkes.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Brooks of Troy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Raymond Messick of Troy, Jill and Bob Maddox of Montgomery; two sons and daughters-in-law, Calvin and Jeanette Wilkes of Lakeland, Fla., Peter and Mary Wilkes of Bay Minette; five grandchildren: Melinda Drawdy of Plant City, Fla., Steven Wilkes of Lakeland, Fla., Tommy Grace of Spanish Fort, Scott Wilkes of Lakeland and Jason Wilkes of Bay Minette; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Myrtle Brooks and Mattie Johnson, both of Troy, and Frances Young of Orlando, Fla.; four brothers: W.T. Brooks and Joe Brooks, both of Troy, Jacob Brooks of Montgomery and David Brooks of Prattville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Park Memorial Building Fund.
