Odis W. Wright, 82, of Troy died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Jan. 23, 2001 at Union Baptist Church of Rockford with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be at Union Baptist Church of Rockford with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

The body will lie-in-state from noon until 1 p.m. today at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Wright of Troy; son and daughter-in-law, James and Faye Wright of Troy; grandchildren: Sharon Williams of Montgomery, Paula Glover of Winston Salem, N.C., Marie Fox of Alexander City, Lanette Walden of Troy, April Floyd of Huntsville, Janice Taylor of Columbia, S.C., Jimmy Wright of Prattville and Joey Wright of Troy; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Artis Wright and David Wright of Rockford; sister, Louise Webster of Tallassee.

Memorial contributions may be made to Union Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Cleveland Tucker Jr.

Cleveland Tucker Jr., 62, of Troy died Jan. 18, 2001 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.

Services were at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 22, 2001 at Rock West Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. W.C. Howard officiating. Burial was at Rock West Church Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Tucker was born Feb. 14, 1938 in Pike County to Cleveland Sr. and Mildred Mae Tucker. He attended Goshen High School and was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of Rock West Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Queen C. Tucker of Troy; four children: Carmen Tucker of San Diego, Calif., Northia Tucker of Elira, Ohio, Margerette Tucker of Lorian, Ohio and Francis Tillis of Troy; mother, Mildred Tucker of Goshen; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Dorthy McCleod of Troy, Margret and William Pearson of New Britton, Conn., Nellie and Lamar McCloud of Troy, Sybal and Melvin Nelson of Elira, Ohio; six brothers and sisters-in-law: James and Joann Tucker of Elira, Ohio, Melvin and Velma Tucker of Troy, Charles and Chandra Tucker of Louisville, Ky., Larry and Rose and Tucker of Troy, Kelvin and Sandra of Tucker of Troy, Timothy and Florence Tucker of Troy; and three grandchildren.

Lillie Ruth Jones Smith

Lillie Ruth Jones Smith, 96, of Troy died Jan. 16, 2001 at Woodley Manor in Montgomery.

Services were at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with teh Rev. E.D. Glover officiating. Burial was at Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Smith was born Sept. 22, 1904 in Pike County to Tom and Alice Jones. She was educated in the Pike County School System and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Janie Ruth Alloway and Tommy Lee Smith; seven grandchildren: Gary Alloway, Carolyn Alloway, Greta Alloway, all of Troy, Ray and Daretta Alloway of Fairfield, Raymond and Linda Alloway, Keith and Veronica Alloway of Neptune, N.J. and Carlene Smith of Montgomery; six great-grandchildren: Allen, Mykel, Tyneshia, Rayona, Rayneshaa and son-in-law, Raymond, Alloway; step-son, Nelson Spikner of Anderson, Ind.; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
