James Irvin "Jimmy" Everage, 68, of Troy died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8, 2001 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. Mack Lowery and David Stewart officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Pallbearers were: Dauldon Barrow, Harold Barrow, Joe Hornsby, David F. Stewart Jr., Gary Parker, James Wesley Stewart, Justin Phillips and Conley Jordan.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Everage of Troy; children: Beverly and David Stewart of Union Springs, Sue and Dan Valdez of Minot, N.D., Thad and Lawanda Everage of Huntsville, Lacie and Kevin Phillips of Prattville; eight grandchildren; brother, Benjamin Everage of Homestead, Fla.; sisters, Lou Peters of Highland Home, Elizabeth Holliday of Luverne, Rose Michalski of Goshen and Sue Barrow of Brantley.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Oscar Fleshman

Oscar Fleshman, 61, of Brundidge died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001 at Baptist Medical Center South, Montgomery.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001 at Brundidge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Spikes officiating. Burial will be at Daleville Memorial Cemetery in Daleville with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Pallbearers will be Don Dickert, Loyd Harrison, Francis Hoffman, Robert McLendon, Charles Taylor, Jack Taylor and Charles Walker.

Mr. Fleshman retired from the U.S. Army as a CWO3 officer after 26-and-a-half

years as a pilot in the Army.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Hoffman Fleshman.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Faye Fleshman of Brundidge; three daughters and sons-in-law: Diane F. and Rob Lewis of Pensacola, Fla., Barbara F. and Billy Long of Daleville, Wendolyn F. and Taylor of Pike Road; two sons and daughter-in-law, Randy and Mary Taylor of Tuscaloosa and Keith Taylor of Pensacola; brother, Richard Fleshman of Lewisburg, W.V. and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., today and there will be a 30-minute lie-in-state prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Brundidge United Methodist Church Bus Fund.

Ruby Cardwell Law

Ruby Cardwell Law, 85, of Troy, formerly of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001 at Pike Manor Health Care Center.

The fuberal will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Dave Kirby officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruth Cardwell; husband, George M. Law and sister, Lorraine Harris.

Survivors include two sisters and brother-in-law, Hilda Wininger of Tuson, Ariz. and Ruth and J.P. Jinright of Troy; brother and sister-in-law, Clarence E. and Marjorie Cardwell Jr. of Midland, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from1-2:30 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home.

James W. Stephens

James W. Stephens, 69, of Glenwood died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001 at his home.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001 at Bluff Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Elbert Smith officiating. Burial will be at Henderson Memorial Cemetery in Henderson with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Pallbearers will be Doug Stephens, Luke Stephens, Anthony Grant, Rex Grant, Darren Grant and Larry Grant. Other nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane G. Stephens.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Michael Sanders of Goshen; son and daughter-in-law, James W. Jr. and Marilyn Stephens of Elba; grandchildren, Melissa Sanders, Mary Beth Sanders, Julie Sanders, Jamie Sanders and Brian and Chris Rhodes; three sisters: Burnice Sims of Auburn, Floria Little of Glenwood and Ruth Frateschi of Wintergarden, Fla.

Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home. There will be a 30-minute lie-in-state prior to the service.

Bobbie L. Hutchinson

Bobbie L. Hutchinson, 82, of Brundidge died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001 at Tennille Road Church of Christ with Brother I.D. Simmon officiating. Burial will be at Salem Baptist Cemetery with Bell’s Liptrot/Dawson Funeral Home directing.
