Laura Jean Dease Adams, 62, of Troy died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, 2000 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Revs. Wayne Locklar and Claud Adams officiating. Burial will be at Sandfield Cemetery in the Sandfield Community with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Adams, Doug McLendon, William Blackwell, Wade McLendon, Jimmy Cobb, Brandon Davis, Lee Davis and Johnny Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Gibson and Jackie Johns.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harmon Dease and a sister, Margaret Dorrill.

Survivors include her husband, Max Adams of Troy; mother, Mattie Culpepper Dease Poole of Troy; sister, Irene Starling of Troy; great-niece, Lisa Cobb Hudley of Mobile; several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
