Edith Marlene Jordan, 66, of Troy died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000 at her residence.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Royce Richards officiating, Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include a husband, Fred N. Jordan of Troy; three sons and daughters-in-law: Buster and Kitty Jordan of Troy, Michael and Christina Jordan of Troy, Freddie Wayne and Jona Jordan of Brundidge; one brother and sister-in-law, James "Gus" and Sue McClendon of Montgomery; three sisters: Maedean Kilpatrick and Alva Renfroe, both of Brundidge, and Frances Smithson of Montgomery; two grandsons, Brandon and Ryan Jordan; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Katie Jordan; three step-grandchildren: Richard, Brenda and Jennifer Pate of Luverne; several nieces and nephews.

Walter Frank Jones

Walter Frank Jones, 63, of Troy died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000 at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Sankey officiating. Burial will be at New Mt. Zion Cemetery in Troy.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers and floralbearers.

Visitation will begin at noon on Friday, Nov. 3.

Mr. Jones was born July 12, 1937 in Pike County to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sam Jones. He attended Pike County schools and was employed by Superior Molding Company until his retirement in July 1999. He was a member of Mt. Hilliard Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter, Frankie Elaine Starling; son, Bruce Bogan of Columbus, Ga.; step-son, Lucius Brundidge of Troy; five grandchildren; mother, Bessie Lee Jones; four sisters and brothers-in-law: Gussie L. and Bobby Siler, Mae. C. Zavcha of Chicago, Ill., Katherine and Leon Johnson , Dorothy Feagin of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; four brothers: Willie Clifford Jones, Willie Charles Jones, Billy J. Jones, all of Troy, and Thomas L. Jones of Chicago; aunt, Irene Walker of Troy; uncle, Walter Smiley of Troy; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a very special friend, Essie Merryweather.
