People made TSU homecoming a success

Troy State University’s homecoming and the events surrounding it were undoubtably enjoyable for the people who participated and successful thanks to the people who worked behind the scenes.

At Troy State University, homecoming is taken very seriously. Months and weeks before the big day people are work to strategically plan every moment of homecoming day to make sure it goes off without a hitch.

At Troy State University, homecoming is special. It is a time that people reunite with friends from the past, and have the opportunity to visit their alma mater and see the progress that has been made since their graduation day.

From reunions and dinners, the parade and tailgating right up to the game starts everyone who participates has a good time.

We are thankful to Troy State University for being such an important part of our community. We are grateful to them for making such a big deal out of homecoming so that everyone feels like they are a part of the excitement.

We are grateful to Pike County and the support it gives to Troy State University. The people of Pike County never cease to welcome and show true hospitality to the guests and visitors to the university for various events.

This year Troy State’s Homecoming was filled glitz and glamour, "Just Like In the Movies."

Reunions began Friday night, thousands of people attended the Troy State University Appreciation Day, and then moved over to Green Davis Tailgate Terrace for pregame fun.

At the game, the Trojans made it a home coming to remember beating the Nicholls State Colonels 41-12.

Our hats are off to the homecoming organizers, TSU faculty and staff, students, alumni, fans, and friends who helped make this homecoming a success.
