The Troy Police Department is investigating some incidents in the Forest Acres residential area.
On Oct. 19, three burglaries and an incident of criminal mischief were reported to have occurred in the mobile home park. The incidents occurred on Sparrow Drive and Partridge Drive.
Sgt. Benny Scarbrough, public information officer for the department, said extra patrols have been placed in that area in an effort to prevent any more incidents and find information about the crimes committed.
"We would like to get to the bottom of this, and we are asking members of the community to assist us," Scarbrough said. "Until the person or persons who are doing these things are caught, these things could continue in this area and potentially in others. We are doing what we can to ensure the safety of people and property, but we need your help."
According to Scarbrough, there are no suspects in the cases and the department is following leads, but is asking for assistance from the public.
Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage said "the individuals responsible for these acts need to face the consequences of their actions."
He said "one burglary is one too many."
Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to call the police department at 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line, 566-5555
