William Kent Haisten, 65, of Huntsville, formerly of Banks, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000 at Crestwood Hospital in Huntsville.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000 at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Banks with Elder Cary Sanders officiating, Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge directing.

Survivors include his wife, Lucie Cordova Haisten of Huntsville; son, Mark Haisten of Monrovia; daughter, Patricia Haisten of Annapolis, Md.; two brothers, Charles Haisten of Montgomery and Henry Haisten of Banks; two sisters, Dorothy Horne of Clayton and Janice Carroll of Banks; four step-daughters: Marie Elene Cordova, Kathleen Cornelius, Christine Green and Laura Clifton, all of Huntsville; seven grandchildren.

Mattie Frances Edwards

Mattie Frances Edwards, 86, of Troy died Friday, Oct. 18, 2000 at Pike Manor Nursing Home.

Graveside services were held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000 at Sandfield Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Oakes officiating, Gray Funeral Home of Union Springs directing.

Survivors include two sons, Hamil Edwards of Troy; James Edwards of Phenix City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and James McLendon of Troy and Linda and John Harrelson of Auburn; one brother-in-law, Richard Williams of China Grove; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons.

Visitation was held 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 14 at funeral home.
