Coach Rick Stetson said, "Emily improves every time she puts on her running shoes."

Watkins, a senior, is the only girl running cross country this fall for Henderson High and is competing in the sport for the first time. She is a veteran, however, on the Lady Trojans softball team.

Stetson said, "Emily is a natural runner. She has great self-discipline and is not afraid to work hard at practice. I am very proud of what she has accomplished so far this season."

The Trojans next cross country meet will be at home Tuesday, Oct 17th.
