Lou Gearion "Gary" Hamm, 65, of Troy died Friday, Sept. 15, 2000 at Edge Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Mack Lowery officiating. Burial will be at Old Lebanon Cemetery in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Survivors include his wife, Avis Hamm of Troy; five children and their spouses: Randall and Arleen Hamm of Troy, Robbie and David Watkins of Dothan, Jimmy and Linda Hamm of Tallassee, Ginger and Terry Morgan of Troy and Betty Corkins of Troy; 13 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Wyman and Jeanette Hamm of Troy; four nieces and two nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.V. Hamm and brother, Nelson Hamm.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Cero Hooten
Cero Hooten, 86, of Troy died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000 at Carroll Street Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Cox officiating, Harrison Funeral Home directing.
She was born Feb. 12, 1914 in Pike County to Aurthur Hooten and Louisa Rollins and was a hotel manager.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Claudie Mitchell of Troy and Mrs. Notha Lewis of Cincinatti, Ohio; one son, Rick Hooten; two grandchildren of Massilon, Ohio; two nieces, Mrs. Margaret Davis and Mrs. Earnistine Lane, both of Troy; a devoted nephew-in-law, Mr. Alexander Davis of Troy; one great-niece, Mrs. Claudette Herring of Dothan; tow great-great-nieces, Sharla and Carmen Herring of Dothan; one great-great-nephew, Chadwick Bishop and a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation will begin at noon, Monday, Sept. 18, 2000.

J.D. Grimes, 90, of Troy died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000 at Edge Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
