Andalusia, which falls to 0-2 on the season, saw a marked improvement in their offense from a week ago. The Bulldogs totaled 230 yards in offense and scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

"We moved the ball tonight. I think this team will get better each week," said AMS Head Coach Wayne Sasser. "We’ve got four games left to play. We need to find 11 guys who can play on defense."

The Bulldogs opened the game by picking up two first downs on their opening possession. But the drive stalled at the Troy 33.

The Trojans countered by marching 67 yards in 10 plays. Carlisle scored on a three-yard run and Anthony Terry added the two-points for an 8-0 lead with 7:34 left in the second quarter.

A Bulldog fumble set up Troy’s second score. Terry went in from 30 yards out to capitalize on the break. The two-point pass failed leaving the score at 14-0 with 5:31 left until halftime.

Andalusia answered by marching down to the Troy 18 but on fourth down, a pitch went awry resulting in a 12-yard loss and a turnover on downs.

Terry opened the second half by returning the kickoff 75 yards for his second touchdown. The two-point conversion failed to leave it at 20-0.

Carlisle’s 18-yard toss to Lewis made it 26-0 with 2:48 to play in the third quarter.

Andalusia appeared to get on the board when Lance Evans fired a pass to Michael McTyere. McTyere had an easy coast to the endzone but pulled up at the 10, thinking that was the goal-line. He was dropped there and fumbled the ball back to the Trojans.

Andalusia, though, was able to get a safety when Chase Arrington, Chad Petty and Bricken Cope dropped Jeremy Jones.

After the free kick, William Mellown scored on an eight-yard run. Evans ran in the two-point conversion to make it 26-10 with 1:21 left.

Both teams scored in the final minute. Carlisle ran in from 28 yards out while Mark Holland scored on a two-yard run for AMS on the game’s final play.

Terry had 75 yards rushing to lead CHMS.

Evans rushed for 88 yards on 13 attemtps and also passed for 61 yards.

AMS 7th graders 8, CHMS 0

The seventh grade Bulldogs grabbed a victory on D’Andre Lee’s 59-yard run with 1:49 left in the game. Curtis Johnson ran in the two-pointer to make it 8-0.

The Bulldog defense then held Troy on their last possession causing a fumble.
