Kindness Green Boswell, 89, of Troy died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000 at Pike Manor Health Care Center in Troy.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000 at Old Mt. Pleasant Church in Pine Level with the Rev. Walker officiating. Burial will be at Salem Church Cemetery in China Grove with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Boswell was born Oct. 1, 1910 in Pike County to Elmore and Docia Green Boswell. She attended Pike County public schools and was a member of Old Mt. Pleasant Church in Pine Level.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Boswell Sr. and one son, Roosevelt Boswell Jr.

Survivors include six daughters: Alice Morals, Albirda Boswell, both of New York, Callie Glover, Martha Ann Johnson, Margie Ann Burch, all of Montgomery and Mae Bell Boswell of Troy; two sons, L.S. Boswell of Troy and Jessie L. Boswell of Montgomery; three sons-in-law: Robert Glover, Joe Morals and William E. Burch; three daughters-in-law: Lillie Bell Boswell, Allean Boswell and Lucile Boswell; a host of grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers and her granddaughters will serve as floralbearers.

Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m., Aug. 23 and the body will lie in state one hour prior to the service on Aug. 24.
