James Coppock, 83, of Brundidge died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000 at Edge Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000 at the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Brundidge with the Rev. Walter Faulk officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in the Chestnut Grove Community with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include five grandchildren: Susan Williams of Brundidge, Sharon Lopez of Hollywood, Fla., Edward M. Coppock of Appleton, Wis., Christopher Coppock and Angela Verhasselt, both of Tomahawk, Wis.; eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris Coppock, daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Joe Allen and son, Edward Coppock.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Aug. 5 at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

James Lucious Massey

James Lucious Massey, 95, of Oakview Manor in Ozark, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000 at Oakview Manor.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2000 at Dillard Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifford Matthews officiating., Burial will follow at Hephzibah Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Julian and Mary Massey of Goshen; granddaughters, Julia Lynn Corley of Goshen and Cheryl and Steve Penny of Glenwood; great-grandchildren, Keisha and Heath Mills of Luverne, Krisha and Brian Alewine of Troy; Brendon and Justin Penny of Glenwood, and several neices and nephews.

He was preseded in death by his wife, Dolly Fredrick Massey; his parents, James Alvie and Beulah Massey; sisters, Dale Jones, Mae Smith, Jewel Pugh, Josie Watkins, Rosaline Walker, Lena Trailor; brothers, Ben and Robert Massey.

Massey was the former fire chief of the Troy Fire Department and was a deacon of Northside Baptist Church.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Troy Fire Department.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2000 at Dillard Funeral Home.
