Detectives with the Troy Police Department are looking for two men who reportedly robbed an apartment Tuesday night.
Officers with the police department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Folmar Street residence that occurred around 10:30 p.m., according to information released by Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage.
Sgt. Benny Scarbrough, public information officer for the department, said an individual allegedly knocked on the door of the victim’s apartment. When the victim answered the door, two suspects entered the apartment armed with handguns.
The suspects reportedly stole property belonging to the victim and his roommates, all of whom were at home during the alleged robbery.
No injuries occurred during the incident, Scarbrough said.
"We are pleased to report that no one was hurt," Scarbrough said. "We hope that people will help us find information that will lead us to these dangerous suspects."
The two suspects, described as black males, were last seen getting into a light colored car, but their direction of travel is unknown.
"We are working the case and we hope we will be able to bring it to a resolution soon," Scarbrough said. "We encourage anyone with information that could lead us to these individuals to please give us a call."
Details of what items were taken were not released by the TPD.
Scarbrough said the case is under investigation and anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the TPD at 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line at 566-5555.
