Tony Levfette Baker, 31, of Troy died Tuesday, July 11, 2000 in an automobile accident.

The funeral was held Saturday, July 15, 2000 at New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Grooms officiating. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Linwood with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Mr. Baker was born Dec. 8, 1968 in Pike County to Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Baker. He attended Pike County public schools and was a mechanic by trade. He was a member of New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Michelle Baker; mother, Bethenia Baker; father, Jimmy Baker; grandmother, Emma Baker of Troy; children: Derrick, Frederick, Tony, G’Angelo and Zackary; three sisters, Stephanie (Aundra) of West Palm Beach, Fla., Stayce (Darius) Kimble of Troy and Rashida Baker of Troy; two brothers, Antonio (Tino) Baker and Jimmy (Ques) baker; two nephews, Andra Lowe and Craigory Baker and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Uncles and friends of the family will serve as pallbearers and floralbearers.

Charlie Glen Bedsole

Charlie Glen Bedsole, 67, of Elba died Friday, July 14, 2000 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 16 at Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Marler officiating. Burial will be at Hebron Church Cemetery in Jack with Hayes Funeral Home of Elba directing.

Mr. Bedsole was a life-long resident of Coffee County. He was born Oct. 21, 1932 in Elba.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Jeanette Bedsole.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Senn of Jack and Glenda Messick of Goshen; two sons, Donald Bedsole and Richard Bedsole, both of Elba; one sister, Lois Poston of Chancellor; two brothers, Orell Bedsole of Opp and William Bedsole of Kinston; three granddaughters, Jessica Bedsole and Elizabeth Bedsole, both of Elba, and Robin Messick of Goshen.

Edna Lois McDurmont

Edna Lois McDurmont, 85, of Jack died Thursday, July 13, 2000 at a Dothan hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2000 at Dorcus Baptist Church with the Revs. Donnie Marler and Ray Stinson officiating. Burial will be a Chestnut Grove with Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge directing.

Survivors include two daughters, Gail Thompson of Dothan and Brenda Sawyer of Jack; six sons: Donald McDurmont of Jack, David McDurmont of Jack, William McDurmont of Phenix City, Wayne McDurmont of Smith, Dwan McDurmont of Troy and Bobby McDurmont of Brundidge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McDurmont and daughters, Willene Love, Jo Ann Boutwell, Deborah Jean McDurmont, Linda Nell McDurmont and a son, Wiley James "Dooley" McDurmont.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Lonnie Mae McWaters

Lonnie Mae McWaters, 88, of Jack died Thursday, July 13, 2000 at her home.

Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2000 at St. John Baptist Church in Brundidge with the Revs. Bernard Strickland and Steve Dubose officiating. Burial was at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Survivors include her husband, Grady McWaters of Jack; daughter and son-in-law, Winnie and Monroe Richards of Jack; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edgar and Grace McWaters, Wayne and Mary McWaters and Johnny and Pamela McWaters, all of Jack; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Pearl Smith of Elba and

Loretta Cole of Phenix City; one brother, Bill Cole of Jack.

Pallbearers were Curtis McWaters, Jonathan McWaters, Josh McWaters, Wendell McWaters, Wesley McWaters and Wyman McWaters.
