Daniel Ray Downard, 60, died Friday, June 23, 2000 in Birmingham.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2000, at the Chapel of White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery.
Survivors include: his father, Lee Toppings; his wife, Charlotte Downard; three daughters, Amanda Ward, Traci Renefore, Kathleen Downard; a son, Michael C. Veasey II; five grandchildren, Jessica Byrd, Jennifer Byrd, Andrew Byrd, Jamie Lemere, Brittany Ward.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marvis Evans, Bobby Shatts, Bobby Alford, Roger Yearby, Andy Anderson and Bill Church.
Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart Fund or the SIDS Foundation.
Jeriel Crocker Sr.
Jeriel Crocker Sr., 77, of Ozark died Friday, June 23, 2000 at his home following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2000 at Holman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Elba with full military honors.
Survivors include: two daughters, Janice Wright and her husband, Roger, of Dothan and Sheila Tillery and her husband, Herman, of Troy; one son, Jeriel Crocker Jr. of Savannah, Ga.; one sister, Jean Benthall of Baton Rouge, La.; two grandchildren, Johnny Calhoun and Shannon Tillery, both of Troy.
He was an Elba native and entered the United States Army at the age of 17. He retired after 22 years and service in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He, then, worked with civil service at Fort Rucker until his retirement. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
