After tying the game at 4-4 in the top of the third, the Twins watched as the Dodgers went on to score three in the bottom-half of the third and six in the fourth and two for insurance in the fifth.

That was more than enough for William Teal who came on in relief of Trent Boutwell in the fifth to strike out six straight batters and get the save for the Dodgers.

Teal also went 2-for-3 from the plate along side Alex Adams and Boutwell. Daniel Ross, Jeremy McGuire, David Fleming and Zack Herring all also had hits. Trey Walters led the Twins with a 2-for-3 showing, Bradley Floyd, Aaron Simmons, Andrew Johnson and Antonio Youngblood all had hits for the Twins.

Pirates 9, Red Sox 6

It wasn’t the smoothest day on the mound for Chris Davis, but he did hold the Dairy Fresh Red Sox to only three hits, struck out 10 and got some great run support from his B&W Electric Pirate teammates.

The Pirates scored took the lead in the 9-6 win for good in the bottom of the third scoring five runs and breaking open a 3-2 lead by the Red Sox. The Sox were able to come back and score three in the final two innings, but couldn’t overcome the Pirate lead.

Hawkins Drinkard and Tanner Hensley each had a double and a single while Davis, Chase Bradley, Josh Dykes and Levi Davidson all went 2-for-2 on the day with a pair of singles

as well.

John Gillis, Jake Dubose, Carson Martinez and Josh Crowe all had singles for the Pirates to wrap up the offense. A. Sherrer, L. Long and D. Ensey all had singles to lead the Red Sox.
