Charlie Passmore, 88, of Troy, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2000, at Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Troy with the Rev. C.L. Sankey officiating. Burial will follow at the Shady Grove Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include three daughters and a son-in law, Betty and Walter Henderson of Troy, Jewel Jordan of Detroit, Mich., and Annie M. McCray of New Orleans, La; three sons amd a daughter-in-law, Eugene and Wonnie Passmore of Middleton, Ohio, Nathaniel Passmore of Detroit, and Carlton Passmore of Troy; 42 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great grandchildren. He is also is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends including one devoted friend, Mattie Reynolds.

He was preceded in death by his son Charlie Jr; one sister, Gertrude and one brother, Leroy; one sister-in-law, Myrtle Lee.

He was born August 24, 1911 in Pike County to Cliff and Mattie Passmore. He was a farmer and was baptized at an early age at the Shady Grove Church where he served as Sunday School teacher, a member of the Deacon Board and the Trustee Board. He was the Past Patron of Arnold Chapter 340 and Past Wishful Master of Mrytle Lodge 162.

Pallbearers will be Mrytle Lodge 162 members and floralbearers will be members of Arnold Chapter 340 and the Adult Choir.

Thomas Morgan

Thomas Earl "Tommy" Morgan, 49, of Troy, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. J.C. Turner and Thomas Moore officiating. Burial followed at Ebenezer Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Noel O’Connor of Panama City, Fla; three step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Lisa and Everett McCurdy of Mobile, Sheila and Jim Reese of Ramer, and Connie and Mark Senn of Panama City, Fla; 10 grandchildren, Megan O’Connor, Brian O’Connor, Aaron McCurdy, Jessica McCurdy, William McCurdy, Zac Reese, Zane Reese, Chase Reese, Aubrey Jordan, and Korry Jordan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Charles Turner of Banks and Judy and Ray Catrett of Troy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Shirley Morgan of Eufaula and Terry and Ginger Morgan of Troy; step-mother, Lorine Morgan of Clio; two step-brothers, Curtis Garner of Elamville and Edward Garner of Brundidge; best friend, Becky Morgan Lindsey; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eula Belle Morgan.

Diane Jo Arwood

Diane Jo Arwood, 49, of Montgomery, died Friday, May 19, 2000 at Baptist Hospital South in Montgomery.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2000 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include husband Robert C. Arwood of Montgomery mother Mailnee Hall of Elmore, Ala.; brother Jimmy Howle of Prattville; mother-in-law Barbara B. Arwood of Montgomery; one niece

and her husband, Debbie and Bob Binder of New Orleans; one nephew, Donnie Delafossee of New Orleans; aunts and uncles, Martha and Curtis Hutchinson of Troy, Mildred and Rastus Livingston of Brundidge, and Milton and Lois Spivey of Enterprise.

Lela Mae Davenport

Lela Mae Davenport, a resident of the Shiloh community, died Friday, May 20, 2000.

The funeral service and survivors will be announced by Bell’s Liptrot-Dawson Funeral Home in Brundidge.
