Tommy J. Wise, 72, of Troy, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Steve Rascoe officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Keel Wise of Troy; three daughters and sons-in-law, Tommie Lynn and David Hinson, Lea and David Sunday, and Lisa Wise, all of Troy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lyle and Lynn Wise, Layne and Kim Wise, all of Troy; his mother, Naomi Wise of Dothan; one sister and a brother-in-law, Lenora and James McAllister of Dothan; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Jewel Wise of Dothan, four granddaughters, Katie Barr, Blair Wise, Carolline Sunday, and Emily Wise; four grandsons, Blake Wise, Morgan Hinson, Taylor Sunday, and Tyler Wise.

Mr. Wise and his wife of 49 years, Yvonne, came to Troy in 1956. They owned and operated Wise Office Supply until his retirement.

Pallbearers will be Jerry McAllister, Barry Keel, Scott Keel, Chance Johnson, Ross Jinright, and Russ Jinright. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Bill Rudd Sunday School class at Park Memorial Methodist Church, Jeff Hudson Sr., Alfred Hollis, Al Gibbs, Gibson Clower, Henderson Caldwell, Ferrell Boutwell, and Jerry Spurlock Jr.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2000 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

The family will accept flowers. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life or Park Memorial Methodist Church building fund.

Lillie Liptrot Brewer

Lillie Liptrot Brewer, 78, of Brundidge, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at New Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with the Rev. W.J. Felton officiating and George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include four nieces, Lucille Avery of Columbus, Ga., Violet Joseph and Shirley Bell, both of Houston, Texas, and Jewel Collins of Linwood; five nephews, Nathaniel Blue and Earnest Blue, both of Florida, Alvin (Dorothy) Collins and Willie C. Bell of Birmingham, and Connie Mack (Maria) Liptrot of Seattle, Wash., a host of other relatives and friends.

She was born January 10, 1922 in Pike County to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Liptrot. She attended the public schools system of Pike County. She attended New Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Pallbearers and floralbearers will be friends of the family.

Chester D. McLendon

Chester D. McLendon, 69, of Troy, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Brundidge, on Tuesday, May 16, 2000 with the Rev. Mack Lowery officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky McLendon and Randy McLendon, both of Troy; three sisters, Hazel Anderson of Troy, Evelyn Allen of Banks, and Jean Parrish of Dothan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
