When you’re one of the best they’re all trying to knock you off and the CHHS Lady Trojans definitely have crosshair’s sighted on them.

The No. 4 ranked Lady Trojans (16-3) had a close call against Robert E. Lee Thursday night pulling a 3-2 squeaker out of the fire in their last at bat.

Down 2-1, junior Kelly Miller came up big for the Lady Trojans with a two-out triple to left-center driving in two runs and saving the day for CHHS.

The triple came on the heels of two clutch hits by Amanda Pruitt and Elizabeth Roundtree and marked the only points scored since the Lady Trojans tied the game with another Roundtree single in the fifth.

The Lady Rebels took the lead in the bottom of the sixth scoring one run, but couldn’t get anything going in their last at bat going down in order to end the game.

Senior Betsy White got the win for Charles Henderson improving to 14-1 on the season and holding Lee to only three hits in the game.

Pruitt led the Lady Trojans with a 3-for-3 showing notching a double while Roundtree and Emily Christian both had a pair of singles.
